Weekly Update

The week has been full of little events... Here's what happened:
Mon and Tue: Procrastinated on my presentation preparation over the weekend before, hence have to work overnight. I am the kind of person who will sleep first, get energize then wake up to do in the middle of the night. I enjoy the peace and quiet of the night, doing my work with no interruptions and also, it's much more cooling. It's nice to work at night...
Wed: Presentation. Went quite well I think. But then, was a rather informal one. Also, most of the staff are kind enough to not ask anything. And since my supervisors pretty much knows what's going on for my project, they didn't had much to ask too! Luckily. Haa. Having post-mortem sometime next week, see what my boss gonna say.
Thu: My left wisdom tooth been feeling queer for a few days. On wed evening, started to ache like hell. Rendered me no choice but to take half day off in the morning to see the dentist. Went to the polyclinic one, then was referred to the NUH dental. Think luck was on my side that day, polyclinic dental changed its system to appointment basis only, so I had to call at 8am in the morning to book appointment. Luckily, there was an empty slot at 9.15am, if not I prob will have to wait till afternoon. Was very worried that the molar in front may have decayed, but luckily x-ray shows that it wasn't. So the only irritating problem is the naughty left wisdom tooth which is growing out slanted, hence pushing against the molar in front and giving me a toothache. All in all, it wasn't too bad, manage to schedule for an extraction next tue (but prob will try to change to Friday so that I can take less leave). Going to cost me additional $200+!! Sigh.
Fri: My wisdom tooth decided to take a break from growing. So not as painful, just feeling queer and can't bite properly to prevent excessive pain. Work wise, been suffering from post-presentation syndrome. Not just me having the problem, my other 2 intern friends who presented too also suffering from same syndrome.. Basically, it's just sian-ness... Think the presentation was too draining. Haa.. Anyhow, been slacking away at work since Thu afternoon, after I came back from the dentists. (Thu evening: SM was so sweet.. Knowing that I was suffering from sian-ness, suggested to go out for dinner. But I declined, too tired and sleepy from lack of sleep. Thanks May May!) Decided to pig out before my extraction next week, and since the tooth is giving me some peace, headed out for dinner on fri. Had dinner at Hishamoto (think it's spelt like that) at The Atrium. Was KQ's birthday.. (but I totally forgot.. So treated him to dinner as compensation! Haa.) Food there isn't good actually.. (Dun bother going.. ) Service was so so only too.. Saw one of the waiter fighting with an old man. Think the old man was collecting drink cans or something, then the waiter chased him out. So ended up with some shoving and pushing. Oh well.. As I say, dun bother trying out that place.
Sat: Went to NATAs travel fair to check out tour packages to China. Asked about Yunan and JiuZhaiGou, but all turned out to be bloody ex. Dun trust the prices quoted on newspapers n brochures.. Bull Shit! When u go and ask, it's like double the cost! Sigh.. a 9D trip easily comes up to $1300 exclusive taxes! I can't afford that kind of money, my mom can't afford for 2 ppl(well.. Technically she can, just not willing to.. haa). So now.. My travel plans are busted! Argh!
Then went for MAF. This year's MAF bit better than last year, more organized. But the PA system sucks big time. Can't hear the music and there were lots of background static noise. Anyhow, did the usual stuff of sing songs and mass dance. Can't remember most of the moves liao.. But HM, he's amazing! We are like J7 seniors, and he still remembers every single step! Haa.
Sun: Today, slack day. Sleeping for most of the morning. Nothing much really. Me dad came back from India after about 2 mths of missionary work. Loss some weight...Poor thing.
Yup.. That's my weekly update. Haa.. Take care everyone.

Ohh I completely forgot about MAF. Did I mention that I'm volunteering for a group called Family with Children from China (FCC for short) and we are planning a mid-autumn festival event for these Chinese children adopted by white American couples? I think it will be interesting. Shall update you more, think this kind of thing will make you less sian! :)
